Celebrate Pride with Us: Fostering a Safe Haven for All Youth at Western Youth Services

June is here, and the rainbow flag is waving high! It's Pride Month , a time to celebrate the vibrant LGBTQIA+ community, their rich history, and their ongoing fight for equality. At Western Youth Services, we take immense pride (pun intended!) in creating a space where all youth feel welcome, valued, and supported –  regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. A Look Back: The Birth of Pride Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall riots of 1969, a pivotal moment that ignited the modern LGBTQIA+ rights movement. Every June, we honor the brave individuals who stood up for their rights, raise awareness about the issues LGBTQIA+ people still face today, and celebrate the incredible progress that's been made.
